The project is funded by the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) Joint Programme, by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BM-VIT), the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (BBT) in Switzerland (please see http://www.aal-europe.eu for details).
Beeware GmbH is a software developer for mobile software applications, truck fleet coordination, web-applications and e-learning software. A service platform is currently under development for the monitoring of individuals and the GPS based system iDobber was co-developed by BeeWare.

Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT, Oldenburg, Germany FHG as a non-profit research institution in Germany will participate in the market phase by licensing the developed MOBECS technologies. FHG has extensive experience in licensing its technology (e.g. licensing of the well known MP3 audio compression scheme by FHG). Besides the coordination of MOBECS, Fraunhofer will develop the algorithms for acoustic emergency detection and notification.
